Putting a comedy Brazilian commentary over Andy Morrell’s goal of the season trophy winner seemed like just a bit of fun at the time. When a radio station picked it up and ran a feature on Wrexham’s inexplicable popularity in Brazil, though, it was hard to resist offering them an interview and pretending to be the commentator in question!
By the way, I don’t speak Portuguese: half the commentary is a list of Tim Vickery’s Brazilian pronunciations of English football folk’s names (Harry Redknapp and Jonathan Woodgate are in there!), and I try to say something about a beach, for some reason.
