PREVIEW | Sutton United v Wrexham AFC

We won our first match at Sutton emphatically, triumphing 5-0 in January 2013 as we headed for eventual victory in the FA Trophy. Our subsequent three visits have been nowhere near so successful. We’ve earned one point from a possible nine in league matches at Gander Green Lane, the only time we avoided defeat coming in a 1-1 draw which saw Scott Quigley give us an early lead.

Last season was a disastrous affair, as we crashed to a 3-0 defeat. Luke Summerfield was sent off at the end of the first half for a late challenge, which was surprisingly overturned on appeal, but we were already 2-0 down by then and showing no signs of revival.

We’ve only won one of our last six matches against Sutton, that victory coming when Kieran Kennedy struck late on at The Racecourse last April.
